Trong bài này chúng tôi sẽ giới thiệu những điểm khác nhau và những cải tiến quan trọng giữa hai hệ điều hành Windows Vista và Windows 7 mới trong việc cấu hình mạng.

Giới thiệu

Nhìn thoáng qua chúng ta có thể thấy không có quá nhiều sự khác biệt giữa việc cấu hình kết nối mạng trong Windows 7 và trong Windows Vista. Mặc dù vậy, sự thật lại có khá nhiều sự khác nhau quan trọng khi bạn bắt đầu sử dụng Windows 7. Chúng tôi sẽ chỉ ra những khác biệt đó cho các bạn trong bài.

Điều hướng – đến cấu hình mạng trong Windows 7

Làm thế nào để vào được nơi cấu hình mạng của Windows 7? Chỉ cần vào Start Menu, Control Panel, kích Network and Internet. Bạn cũng có thể thực hiện bằng cách sử dụng đường dẫn hướng tương tự trong Windows Vista. Mặc dù vậy, khi vào đến các thiết lập Network and Internet trong Windows, bạn sẽ thấy rất nhiều tùy chọn. Hãy để chúng tôi so sánh bằng việc bắt đầu với cửa sổ Network and Internet trong Windows 7 (thể hiện trong hình 1 bên dưới).

Như những gì bạn thấy trong hình thì cửa sổ cấu hình của Windows 7 cung cấp một số lựa chọn mới và một số lựa chọn cũ, tuy nhiên xét về mặt tổng thể thì không có nhiều lựa chọn để chon từ đây. Chúng ta đã quen với việc nhìn thấy Network and Sharing Center và Internet Options nhưng HomeGroup ở đây là hoàn toàn mới. Thông thường, sau khi tải về Windows 7 RC bạn sẽ tiến hành ghi file ISO ra đĩa DVD để cài đặt. Cách làm này dễ với những máy thông thường, còn với netbook không được trang bị ổ đĩa DVD thì không đơn giản. Ba giải pháp sau đây bạn có thể tham khảo để thực hiện.

Cách 1: Mua một ổ đĩa DVD gắn ngoài qua cổng USB

Đây được xem là một trong những giải pháp tốt nhất. Không những vậy, cách này sẽ làm đơn giản hóa việc cài đặt bất kỳ  phần mềm nào khác có trên đĩa CD hay DVD. Bạn có thể tìm mua những ổ đĩa này ngoài thị trường với giá khoảng 1,5 triệu đến 1,25 triệu đồng, hoặc có thể mua trên eBay với giá rẻ hơn khoảng 350.000 đồng.

Cách 2: Sử dụng ổ đĩa Flash USB

Nếu bạn có một ổ đĩa USB dung lượng 4GB trở lên, bạn có thể nhờ miễn phí mã nguồn mở có tên Live USB Helper – một công cụ giúp tạo thành một ổ đĩa có khả năng khởi động cùng hệ thống. Sau đó sử dụng công cụ miễn phí có tên Daemon Tools Lite dùng đển mount (gắn kết) toàn bộ dữ liệu có trong file ISO của Windows 7 vừa tải về ra các ổ đĩa (ở đây là ổ đĩa USB). ::Full content::

Photography Bay is showing a list of features for the upcoming replacement of the Canon EOS 50D. Already??? Sure, it seems a bit early to start talking about this one. Did I say rumour?

I rarely get excited about SEO and SEM tools – mostly because I am not a fan of anything that “automates” a type of work that should actually be carefully tailored according to customer needs, market trends, and etc. SEO software makes a lot of our jobs easier, and there are some situations where the results would be mediocre without such tools. The types of “SEO software” I always reject are the types that might actually produce damage to a site: automatic search engine submissions (the type of “submit your site to over 300000 search engines” for example), automatic directory submitters, automatic article submission (spamming a number of ezines with the same content), etc.

But, when it comes to keyword research it is virtually impossible to produce a quality worksheet without software. Keyword discovery and suggestion software, even in their free versions, are life savers. However, this type of software only produces a list of “most popular” keywords – that can be worthless without careful filtering by the marketer who is actually going to use them for a SEM – PPC campaign. The filtering is the most time consuming process. I don’t know how other SEOs work, but I manage my keywords with Excel, creating large spreadsheets of information, trying to determine from one week to another which keywords performed best (based on Google Analytics and others), and having to update that list manually each time.

When I have to perform the same task for my customers, the process is even more daunting and time consuming. This long introduction has a point: there is now a better way to manage huge keywords lists and this “tool” is called WordStream.

I was given a one hour demonstration of the software by Larry Kim, the man who created WordStream. He was very disappointed to hear that I was not into PPC (as a PR I can “read” reactions even from the distance) – probably thinking that I would not understand the software and how important this is for an SE marketer, but he went on answering all my questions, despite this apparent drawback. I think Larry made this to help PPC managers more than anything else, but the software is much more complex, to be frank. I will actually go on ignoring PPC completely in this review – because obviously PPC is not my strength, and because, actually, I came to the conclusion that WordStream can be of use to anyone who wants to push their sites into the Google organic search results for keywords that actually bring traffic. ::Full content::

Năm nào cũng vậy, cứ được nghỉ lễ giải phóng miền Nam và Quốc tế lao động là mình lại mò đi đâu đó. Mà có lẽ ai cũng vậy chứ không riêng gì mình, chương trình đi trong dịp nghỉ lễ luôn được rập rình trước đó cả tháng. Các cty tổ chức tour đi chơi cũng vậy, tung ra đủ các kiểu tour, khuyến mãi, tăng cường chuyến, tăng cường xe,…

Năm nay, cùng mấy người bạn cũ, làm tour sang xứ sở của quần thể Angkor nổi tiếng. Đây không chỉ là niềm tự hào của toàn bộ đất nước Campuchia mà còn là niềm tự hào của lịch sử phát triển nhân loại. Văn minh Angkor !!!!  Một kỷ nguyên văn minh hoành tráng của đất nước Campuchia từ thế kỷ thứ 9 – 14. Tuy đã suy tàn nhưng những phế tích  của nó cũng làm cho du khách phải kinh ngạc và thán phục.

Trong toàn bộ tour, mình “mê mẩn” nhất là quần thể Angkor. Chỉ tiếc là  không đủ thời gian để ngắm nghía, khai thác hết những nét đẹp tuyệt hảo mà người Khmer đã tạc trên đá cách đây hơn 900 năm. Tuy  nhiên, trên đường đi, cũng kịp ghi lại một nét đặc trưng về đất nước cũng như cuộc sống người dân tại đất nước này. ::Full content::
